黎巴嫩數千人趁「婦女節」走上貝魯特街頭，要求加強保護婦女。

遊行人士包括婦女和小孩，由國家博物館起步，帶頭起步的是曾經經歷家庭暴力的婦女。

他們促請國會通過法案，設立最高25年刑期，監禁謀殺女性親屬的男人。

黎巴嫩被認為是中東地區最自由的國家之一，但目前沒有法律保護婦女免受她們的父親，丈夫或兄弟虐待。
