從小熊1A起步的曾仁和於9日先發對戰教士1A，這是他美職生涯初登板，投5局失3分都是自責分，無關勝敗。

曾仁和第1局就被敲出3支安打，不過也投出2次三振，力保不失。第3和第4局，曾仁和都讓對手3上3下，第5局他被擊出4支安打加上1支高飛犧牲打，失3分，投完5局退場，退場時雙方3比3平手。

曾仁和投5局失3分都是自責分，被擊出8支安打，5次三振，沒有保送。去年曾仁和以簽約金162.5萬美元加盟小熊，今年3月中，《棒球美國》網站專文介紹曾仁和，並指出他已走出經典賽低潮，速球和曲球相當有威力。
