錯失社群網路 施密特稱大錯

（中央社台北1日電）彭博社報導，谷歌（Google Inc.）董事長施密特（Eric Schmidt）指出，錯失社群媒體崛起之勢，是他對這家全球最大搜尋引擎所做最大錯事。

施密特接受彭博電視專訪時指出，「就我們的立場而言，我們忙碌於其他許多事項，我們本應在此領域發展，我對此負責。」

施密特2001-2011年擔任谷歌執行長，並於2011年成為執行董事長，在這段期間，谷歌公開發行上市並成為搜尋和廣告入口網站。

然而，谷歌初期並未多加注意臉書（FacebookInc.）發展，這家企業於2004年發跡，並自此一路攀爬、終成全球社群網路龍頭，擁有超過10億透過其服務與朋友聯繫和互動用戶。

臉書和谷歌現已成為線上和行動廣告業務的競爭對手。為了爭搶社群網路市場大餅，谷歌在2011年推出Google+社群服務。

谷歌10月指出，約3億消費者瀏覽Google+上朋友串流內容，同時登錄這項服務、從事社群活動每月總用戶數已達5.4億戶。

施密特受訪指出，未加留意社群網路崛起「將不再成為我們將犯的錯誤」。他也預期2014年將成行動運算的旺盛期。（譯者：中央社徐睿承）1030101
