HTC has unveiled its new high-end flagship model, the HTC One (M8), in New York and London simultaneously, aiming to rekindle its sagging smartphone sales as well as to shore up its dwindling market share.
The HTC One (M8) features a 5-inch 1080p touchscreen, Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and dual-camera design, running on Android 4.4 and supporting 4G LTE.
In addition to featuring a unibody structure, the HTC One (M8) also sports a dot view case which allows users to check information including time, weather, new texts, emails and calls using its Motion Launch initiative function without touching or revealing the screen.
Meanwhile, HTC appears to have solved related supply chain issues, enabling it to deliver the HTC One (M8) immediately after the product presentation. Sales of the HTC One, the predecessor of the HTC One (M8), failed to meet the company's expectations due to delays in the supply of parts.
HTC has teamed up with over 230 operators worldwide to promote the HTC One (M8), with deliveries starting at the end of March. The HTC One (M8) will be available in gunmetal gray, glacial silver and amber gold.
