AT&T將推機上上網 挑戰Gogo

（中央社台北2014年4月29日電）彭博報導，美國第2大行動通信商AT&T公司（AT&T Inc. US-T）將提供商務客機4G LTE（長期演進技術）無線上網服務，挑戰機上Wi-Fi供應商Gogo公司（Gogo Inc. US-GOGO）。

根據昨天公布的聲明，AT&T在漢威聯合公司（Honeywell International Inc. US-HON）協助下，最快將於2015年底在美國本土推出機上Wi-Fi網路連線、娛樂和駕駛艙通訊服務。

這套4G LTE技術，和AT&T在旗下最快行動通信網路採用的標準相同。

愈來愈多乘客攜帶平板電腦和電子書等數位裝置上飛機打發時間，對可靠的網路訊號需求隨之增加，AT&T正試圖打進這塊市場。

麻州Recon Analytics分析師恩特納（RogerEntner）說，AT&T將成為機上4G LTE的第1家供應商。他表示：「由於不需透過衛星連線，因此這套服務的上網速度可能較快。」（譯者：中央社劉文瑜）
