蘋果現在已有7.9吋、9.7吋兩款iPad；現在傳出消息，蘋果將於2015年第一季推出12.9吋的大iPad。

平板電腦走向大尺寸化，對於電池續航力要求更高，加上消費者對外接鍵盤需求升溫，預料蘋果及非蘋陣營競推大尺寸平板，相關供應鏈如新普、順達及群光等，受惠最大。

華碩、三星為衝刺平板產品銷售量，近期都推出13吋平板，加上蘋果也傳將祭出12.9吋iPad反擊，法人分析，7吋、10吋平板銷售力道每況愈下，品牌廠都已感受到賣不動的沉重壓力。因此，朝更大尺寸的方向開發新產品，將推升電池、鍵盤、機殼等關鍵零組件需求。

法人指出，大平板相對毛利率較好，可挹注相關供應鏈業績及獲利成長新動能。
