本周末就是兒童節，教育部所屬的社教館所推出多項相關的DIY體驗與免費優惠，讓家長不用再擔心連假沒地方玩。

例如自然科學博物館，有入場就可免費體驗「氣球好好玩，一起來闖關」、「學習單-避難123」、「展翅高飛」、「造紙飛鳥」等活動。台灣科學教育館的「解開昆蟲密碼特展」，兒童節當天，國小以下兒童免費，同行家長七十元的優待票價。剛成立的海洋生物博物館，兒童節當天，也有多項免費的親子活動。

此外，國立台灣歷史博物館四月四到六日連假期間，舉辦「兒童節親子系列活動」，十二歲以下兒童一律免票進館。
