HTC 最新的推出的 One Max，具有指紋辨識功能。

HTC 今年第 3 季出現首度單季虧損，外界不乏分析師獻策，建議他們轉攻低階廉價智慧手機市場，不過依最近的談話來看，這並非宏達電 (2498-TW) 目前的計畫。

《CNET》報導，HTC 行銷高層 Jeff Gordon 最近接受 CNET UK 採訪，仍然強調公司不會馬上轉向廉價手機市場。他說：「和華為、中興，乃至於亞馬遜 (Amazon)，在低階、薄利的市場中競爭，是一場愚蠢遊戲。 」

這種說法卻和去年 HTC 的做法不同。去年在 Mobile World Congress 2012 會上，HTC 推出了 One 系列的平價版 One V，僅採用單核心處理器，被認為是定位中低階市場的機種。

而最新的 HTC One Max，配備 5.9 吋大螢幕，同時也有指紋辨識功能，與三星及蘋果較量的意味相當明顯。HTC 將目標鎖定中國，卻不是放下身段搶攻低階市場。HTC 目前在中國市場市占率約 3.9%，王雪紅先前表示，目標在搶下中國高階市場 20% 的市占。
