英格蘭與威爾斯同性婚姻法週末生效

英格蘭與威爾斯允許同性戀者結婚的法律預定於29日正式生效，在28日午夜過後，這兩個地方的男、女同性戀者就可以開始交換誓言，結為連理。

英格蘭與威爾斯早在2005年就承認同性戀者的民事結合(Civil Union)，但是，這種關係與「同性婚姻」所享有的權利並不相同；同性婚姻享有與異性婚姻完全相同的權利。

在英國首相卡麥隆(David Cameron)的支持下，英國國會於去年7月通過同性婚姻法，成為全球第15個承認同志婚姻的國家。

根據英國同性婚姻法，凖備締結連理的同性戀者必須提前15天到結婚登記機構辦理登記手續，才能結婚；因此，英國的有關部門已於13日起，接受同性戀者辦理結婚登記手續。

51歲的托瑞森(Matthew Toresen)表示，他在1983年、也就是20歲的那年公開出櫃，他從未想過同志婚姻能有合法化的一天。

托瑞森將在29日與長期伴侶45歲的馬洛尼(Scott Maloney)結婚。
