地震時 住高樓真的比較危險嗎?

其實，每個地方因當地的地質不同而有其自然頻率，比如說花蓮-地質堅硬，自然頻率就比較高(振動週期比較短)；台北盆地-地質軟弱，自然頻率就比較低(振動週期比較長)，而地震波傳達時，會以該地盤的自然頻率震動建築物。所以台北盆地高樓層的建築物受到的地震力較大，而花蓮則是低樓層受到的地震力較大。

那台北市滿滿的高樓大廈，地震來的時候豈不是都超級危險的!!!

其實呢，共振現象能放大多少地震力，這又另外跟建築物的”阻尼比”有關(阻尼可以簡單解釋成建築物阻止振動的能力)!!而建築物的高度越高，阻尼比越大，所以共振現象放大的情況就越小。所以，雖然在台北盆地上中間樓層(10-20樓)受到比較大的地震力的機率是比較大的，但是也不會大太多(因阻尼比使共振放大減少)，而這樣的影響，用結構設計是可以加強得了的，所以只要設計安全適當，施工確實沒有偷工減料的優良建築物，在正常地震來時並不是都會危險的。
