巴克萊擬縮減商品交易業務

巴克萊公司（Barclay's）計劃退出多數金屬、農產品與能源等大宗商品交易業務，最快本周對外宣布。

巴克萊整頓組織反映商品交易營收下滑，且主管機關對銀行業商品交易加強監控。巴克萊執行長詹金斯將於5月8日公布最新營運策略，可能從收益不敷成本的部門裁員數千人。而這些部門可能被歸入壞帳銀行行列，不排除出售或關閉。

不過，巴克萊22日將先公布大幅縮減商品交易業務的消息。

巴克萊是五大大宗商品交易商之一，但包括摩根士丹利、德意志銀行、瑞銀和蘇格蘭皇家銀行（RBS），都已縮減或出脫商品業務。
