尼日人口15年倍增至3500萬

紐約時報22日報導，西非國家尼日每年皆有數百萬人陷入飢荒，且年年接受國際組織的糧食援助，但該國生育率居高不下，目前尼日每名婦女平均約有8個孩子。人口學家估計，該國人口將在未來15年內倍增，從目前的1700萬人，增加為3500萬人。
