莊智淵世界杯止步8強

世界杯桌球賽男單8強戰，我國好手莊智淵面對日本「一哥」水谷隼，雖然莊智淵首局以11：5壓著水谷打，但水谷隼隨後進入狀態，最終以4：1拿下比賽，晉級4強。

水谷自首局之後快速進入狀態，尤其正手拉球狀況好的驚人，多次靠著打中球桌邊緣的刁鑽球路讓莊智淵連丟3局。第5局莊智淵在水谷隼拿下首個賽末點喊出暫停，開賽後大發神威連續突破水谷隼4個賽末點，並創造11：10的第1個局末點，隨後又打破水谷隼兩個賽末點，但可惜最後水谷隼一個擦網幸運球，以15：13拿下本場比賽。
