英國將允許無人駕駛車上路

英國廣播公司（BBC）報導，英國政府將於明年底前規劃措施，開放無人駕駛車在公路上行駛。

目前英國只允許駕駛車在私人道路行駛，運輸部原本承諾要在2013年底前讓無人駕駛車開上公路。英國財政部去年12月表示，將提供1,000萬英鎊獎金給成為無人駕駛車測試地的城鎮。

英國政府想向外界展示，英國有能力成為自動駕駛技術的領導國，商業大臣凱博（Vince Cable）不久後將宣布鼓勵研究這類技術的措施。

英國開放無人駕駛車開上公路的進度比其他國家來得慢。在美國加州，Google的無人駕駛車已在公路上行駛逾30萬哩，日產汽車則早在2013年就讓這類車開上日本的高速公路進行測試。
